Phew! What a week.
I feel like I say that every week :)

Last Saturday we had our shoot with my friend Syl
down at the Balboa Island Fun Zone.
My kids were styling and the weather held until the last picture.

The Boy even did some planking :)

Monday was NO SCHOOL!
So we headed to the monkey zoo for some fun.

Tuesday was Valentine's Day and The Boy
took these handmade Valentines.

That afternoon we headed to Pretend City
to celebrate Valentine's Day.

That night we had a rockin' red dinner
and then picked up Will and got some ice cream
before dropping him back at work.

Wednesday was rainy and busy.
Carpool, Music Makers, working in the Kinder class,
trying out a new dance studio, and a Valentine Party
with the YW.
Phew!

Just a rousing game of "Honey, if you love me, won't you please smile?"
It only made two of the Beehives have a nervous breakdown :)

Thursday night was a craft extravaganza at church.
I taught a "class" on making hair clips.
And spent the afternoon chasing around the OC trying
find alligator clips and Heat and Bond.
Fun times.
Then I came home and glued 100 eyes on a monster shirt
for the 100th day of school celebration the next day.

He rocked it.
Happy 100th day of school!

Last Saturday was my nephew's Mario birthday party.
The kids had fun in the bounce house
and running around with all the other kids,
and I had fun chatting it up with family and friends.

That evening we went to Five Guys to celebrate Will's birthday.
The Boy was so excited to "take" us because The Girl and I
hadn't been before.

The kids loved playing around in in the courtyard while
we chatted and enjoyed the evening after dinner.

That night I rolled The Girl's hair in anticipation of church.
Can you guess which pictures depicts how she really feels?

Saturday night while I was sleeping I kind of kinked my back/neck/shoulders.
Every morning it was slightly worse.
I spent the beginning of the week in this position trying
ice/rest/avoid pain :)

Thursday we watched Gobbler's Knob with anticipation
to see if Punxsutawney Phil would see his Shadow.

Someone below was very disappointed Phil saw his shadow,
as he had previously voted in the class poll that Phil
would not see his shadow.

Thursday we met up with Kara-Noel so that we
could catch up and she could give me some
cool crafts to do that I missed due to my
diverticulitis woes.
Her sweet little baby passed out sucking her thumb.

That night I crafted the night away doing my Kara-Noel
craft homework and we were two steps closer to
changing from snowmen to hearts :)

Adventures in {Angry Birds Birthday}

This year The Boy had an Angry Birds Birthday Playdate for his 6th Birthday.
He invited his friends from kinder carpool and his bestie.

This was supposed to be less stressful for me and more fun for The Boy :)
We started with decorating our treat bags.
I printed off coloring pages from Cartoon Jr.
and the kids colored them.

Then Jaime and I helped them cut them out and they glued
them onto their bags.

Then we played a little Angry Birds game.
The kids loved it, but it was hard waiting their turns :)

Then we headed outside in the Angry Birds costumes
that my friend Kirsten had made her family for Halloween.

The kids loved them!!!!
First they just ran wild . . .

And then they broke into a more organized game
of DUCK, DUCK, Angry Bird!

No Angry Birds Birthday would be complete
without some super cute cupcakes!

So I begged hired my cousin Cory of Lady Cupcake's Corner
to make some awesome toppers and she shipped
them to me for the big day.

JT requested red velvet cake.
What?
6 kids + red velvet = No Bueno.
So we ate them outside.

One of the fun things in the goodie bag was
an Angry Bird mask that I made for the kids.
As you can see,
my model wasn't a willing participant.

However, the other kids loved them!

You can get a template and brief tutorial on my other blog.
