Insta Friday: I'm So Behind!

So, let's start playing catch up!

We ended March with a family dinner at Souplantation.
Love that place!
March 30, 2012

Anyone else think this weather girl looks like she
stepped off of the set of Deep Space Nine?
Maybe it was an April Fool's Joke and I missed it.
April 1, 2012

The Girl loves having daily playdates with her friend.
Today she was the princess (Snow White) and Mymy
was the little girl getting her picture taken with a princess :)
April 2, 2012

The Girl begged and begged to get the watercolors out.
I hemmed and hawed because I was packing and cleaning.
But I finally broke.
She entertained herself for close to 2 hours with these things.
April 4, 2012

The scenery on our drive up to Oregon was gorgeous.
The lake at Mt. Shasta at sunrise was my favorite part of California.
April 6, 2012

The Girl did a little parkour in the Carl's Jr. for our entertainment.

While Will saw a client in Southern Oregon,
we killed time at the Walmart and I found this awesome
gangsta' chocolate bunny.
Yeah, boy!

The Girl took her place as if no time had passed :)

Easter Eve my MIL and I worked on the Easter clothes!
April 7, 2012

They looked so cute!!!

The Stomp Rocket was a big hit with everyone!

 April 8, 2012

We did the Dollar Store and a movie when we went to town.
Look what someone found . . .

April 9, 2012

Pretending to drive the tractor was a big hit with one particular boy.
April 10, 2012

He also loved the super-sized candy aisle at WinCo.

And I loved the super-sized nachos at Junkyard Dogs

After a tummy troubles the night before,
this guy was a little wary of hot dogs.
So he tried a burger, but his heart wasn't in it.
However, he obliged me with this picture :)

If you're ever in the neighborhood, I highly recommend it!

Someone took a nap.
I love the pink cheeks after a nap.

We rounded out the evening with some yumminess & glow in the dark bubbles.

April 11, 2012

 Mmmm . . . breakfast . . .

Our last day in Oregon the boys caught themselves some salamanders.

And ate them for lunch . . .

While the girls figured out this contraption.

And contemplated crochet patterns.
April 12, 2012

That evening we packed it all up and headed back home.
Only to get stopped 4.5 hours into our drive by driving snow.
Are you kidding me?
Driving snow the middle of April?
Yup.
The kids were out.
So we parked ourselves in a McDonald's parking lot
and "slept" til daylight.

Even though it was annoying and depressing to lose
those fabulous hours of driving with sleeping children,
the results were amazing.

And after about 25 minutes of driving,
there was no sign of the nuisance.

Can you believe we made it all the way to Oregon and
spent a week there on vacation and didn't stop at the Golden Arches once?
However, we didn't escape it on the drive home :)

The kids were angels on the drive home.
Ok, so they had their moments,
but all things considered, they did a pretty good job.

We pulled into the Costco gas line near home just in the nick of time.

And since we were wasted,
and it was almost 24 hours after we pulled out of Camp G&G,
this is what awaited us . . .
April 13, 2012

Ok, that's all I have in me!
So, until next time . . .
