Insta Friday: December 9, 2011

December is in full swing this week,
with lots of fun festivities and a certain 6 year old's birthday :)

Last week I got my Christmas Book Advent ready to go -
oh, only a day late :)

Saturday morning Eugene the Elf made his
debut at our North Pole Breakfast!

Then I headed over to Costco to pick up 52 pizzas by myself
so we could serve lunch to 400 Boy Scouts.
Craziness.
I loaded them all by myself.
The door people kept shouting - LOADING!
But no one came.
Not impressed.

The 52 pizzas made my car into a pizza sauna.

Later than afternoon we headed to Heritage Hill
for Victorian Christmas.

The kids loved the Thumbelina marionette show.

I loved the Giant German Paper Stars!

That evening we made a trip to Sears for a
replacement belt for the vacuum.
This sign in the bathroom made me want to vomit.

Sunday night we went to the Community Christmas
display.
I only took pictures with "real camera",
but everything was beautiful!

Monday was this guy's big day!
Six year old.
Where did the time go?
He kicked off the day with a birthday donut.

That evening Imaginext turned on the adventure :)
I've never seen him more surprised or more excited.

And of course there was a cake with candles.

Tuesday I worked on these little ditties.

While this guy watched some 3-D Imaginext videos.

This one was not thrilled to be my model.
Now, that's one Angry Bird!

Wednesday it was all about the Angry Birds playdate!
My cousin Cory made these fondant toppers
and shipped them to me so I could add them
to the red velvet cupcakes The Boy requested.

We had all the kids from kinder carpool (and Jeremy)
over for a rousing playdate.
Complete with costumes (made by my friend Kirsten),
cupcakes, and coloring!

Wednesday evening I went to Lito's boot camp.
I highly recommend to all my local friends.
It was awesome.
Then we headed to the Spectrum with the youth
for some flash mob caroling and hot cocoa.

Thursday night I headed to the Queen Mary
with Jaime as my +1 for the Fresh&Easy
holiday preview party.

It was amazing!
I fell in love with the Sparkling Pumpkin Cider.
And the F&E wine expert - Richard Wherry,
was kind enough to get us a bottle.

The food by chef Cynthia Perez was fantastic!

The swag bag was filled to the brim
with Fresh&Easy goodies.
I gave my wine & coffee away to a fun
friend I met at my table that evening.

And Jaime and I had fun in the photo booth :)
