This Little Light of Mine: What I Learned at Hero Camp

We just finished up our third year of Hero Camp,
and it was truly amazing.
All the blood, sweat, and tears that the moms put
into the week to make it an experience the kids will always remember -
I am in awe.

This year's theme was It's My Story.
All week the children learned about how this
journey on Earth is their story.
That the Savior can help them create the most amazing story there is to write.
That we all make mistakes, but through the Atonement of our Savior Jesus Christ,
the miracle of repentance can erase those parts of the story we aren't proud of.
Christ truly is the Editor in Chief of our stories.
If we let Him, He can help us write a story we're proud of.
A story we'll be honored to present to our Heavenly Father when the day comes.

We have a fabulous woman that is the sister of the director.
She comes each year to teach the children songs that will inspire.
Songs that testify.
Songs that bring them closer to their Savior.
Songs they can hold onto when they are 15 and lost.
On Friday when I watched the program,
I was not prepared for this song.
It brought me to tears.
Mostly because the beautiful children that sang it, also learned sign language
and the performance was testimony building to say the least.
I wish I could share their performance with you,
but since I can't, I hope you'll enjoy this music video of the song.

Happy Sunday!
