Weekend Update

Hiya! Our weekend was a busy one. It started Friday night with me tagging and packing all of our merchandise for the boutique on Saturday. Then, it continued at 4:50am the next morning when I awoke in a panic because I turned my alarm off in my sleep when it went off at 4am. So, I had to go to the boutique without showering because we wanted to be on the road at 5am. Our first time at the boutique was mildly successful. We had a lot of fun and sold "some" stuff. It wasn't as much as we had hoped for, but we have marketing ideas for next time to help boost our sales:) When I got home The Boy had not taken a nap because he refused to sleep for Will - surprise, surprise. Poor daddy! So I put him down for a nap immediately. I didn't have to go grocery or Costco shopping because I'd already done it so I would be carefree on the weekend. I did make slush for my nephew's blessing luncheon the next day.

On Sunday we went to church and my nephew was blessed. His name is the male form of my name, so I tease my SIL that he is named after me. Ha! I stayed for the entire 3 hour block because I had the value thought for the month. It's on Knowledge and since I have the combined activity this week too, I decided to tie it together. I saw this great idea to help the YW get to know the Quorum of Twelve better before General Conference, so we are going to play a quiz game. So I gave them a little card with the link to the site on LDS.org that has their bios and told them to study. However, I know realistically only maybe 2 will do it. So, I was trying to think of what I could do to give them a cheat sheet to use during the game and it just hit me what I can do. I'll do like my chem professor did. I'll put them in teams of 3, give them a packet of information, 15 minutes, and an index card. They can cram as much info on the Twelve on the card to use during the game. Fun! I'm really excited!

After I did my thought, we did go home because The Boy was running a fever and was really cranky. I gave him some Tylenol and he perked up in about 20 minutes. I think his molars are bothering him. The luncheon for my nephew was very nice and the food was yummy. We didn't do anything Sunday night and that was nice.

Today I went walking with some friends and we've committed to do it every MWF at 8:30. I am so excited to have something else to keep me on track toward my fitness goal. Afterwards, I ran to a doctor's appointment and The Boy stayed home with his Grandpa. After I got home we went to Walmart to get him some new sandals. My SIL gave me some Gap sandals, but they are all plastic and they are just cutting up his little feet. It's too sad, so I got him nice, very boy, leather sandals. I also need to go to the library, but it was naptime again, so we came home and I will have to go later.

I entered a digiscrap challenge at Elementalscraps.com. I think I will be most active here because the designer that I am going to start creating for has her store here too. I got word from her today that my DL code and blinkie are coming soon! Yea! Here is the LO I did for the challenge. All I had to do was use the alpha and elements from the featured designer - Sherri Tierney.
P.S. Did you see my new Heroes blinkie? If you don't watch that show, you've got to get into it! It's even better than Lost.
