Mucky Mow

That's what The Boy said today when Mickey Mouse Clubhouse came on during Playhouse Disney. I almost dropped over dead when I realized what he was saying. Then, we went downstairs to talk to the inlaws and The Boy climbed up on my FIL's lap while he was working on the computer and The Boy told him, "puter". So, the list grows daily. A funny story - While my sister was here she was trying to get The Boy to say her nickname - which is Kikal (kee-kul). She was telling him, "Say Kikal" and he answered back "Tickle". So I told her that she is now officially Aunt Tickle. It was really cute. Oh! Another funny story, a few days ago I set him in his crib to play while I put his clothes away. He played for about 5 minutes, but then he wanted out. I asked him, "Do you want out?" And he rubbed his head and said, "ouch" and frowned. I said, "No, not 'ouch', 'out'" and he repeated the same thing. It was funny. I finally asked if he wanted "up" and he nodded his head, put his arms up and said "up". Silly baby!

He is doing SO well with going to bed at night and it has really opened up my evenings for me because I know the putting to bed routine is going to take exactly a 1/2 hour. So I was very confident, when I went out last night with my in-laws to see the BYU Folk Dancers at the Long Beach Performing Arts Center, that Will could put The Boy to bed no problem. I told him to bath him, rock him for 10 minutes, and lay him down. So, much to my surprise when I called at 9:45 to tell Will that we were on our way home that The Boy was STILL AWAKE! Will insisted that he wouldn't go to bed and I believe it because daddy is the play person and mommy is the sleep person. Plus, Will is a softy (as most daddies are) and didn't want to make The Boy upset. So, when I got home I rocked him for 5 minutes and layed him down and didn't hear a peep. Of course, he was still up at 6:15 this morning even though he went to bed 2 hours late. One night won't kill him, but he better take good naps today. Yesterday the morning nap was a piece of cake, but he fought his afternoon nap for over an hour. He finally passed out when I wouldn't let him sit up and just patted his back - slept for an hour and half. Silly baby!

Today I need to make all the price tags for the items for the boutique, do some laundry, finish up the dishes (they are finally washed, just sitting in the dryer now), go to the bank, library, and Costco! Phew!

Just thought I'd leave you with something special for the weekend:)

I love kids when they're just learning to talk. They're so terribly funny.
