This is what a day at Disneyland does to a little boy! He loved it. He was so good and peoeple kept commenting on what a happy baby he is. Just he and I went and we did a lot of things we've never done before. We walked into the park because I can't stand all the rude people with strollers vying for spots on the tram. First, we went on the carousel for the first time and he was a little wary of it. He might be like his mom and not really enjoy things that spin in circles. Then we headed over to Dumbo for his first flight.
He was very excited before we got on Dumbo - he loved watching all the other people flying on the elephants. He was also very eager to play with the "joystick" while we waited for lift off. However, after we got up in the air he was content to sit quietly on my lap and take it all in. Next we went on "Snow White" for the very first time, and my first time in a long time, and I have to say that I wasn't impressed. Then we headed over to the Haunted Mansion to see if it was open with the Nightmare Before Christmas motif yet, but it wasn't, so we went on Pirates instead. It was pretty comical to feel his little body tense and relax during various parts of the ride. I'm not sure if he liked it or not, but he didn't cry. For our finale of the day we headed over the Enchanted Tiki Room because he loves that. When you sing the song to him he will sing "tiki, tiki, tiki" back to you and it is very adorable.
The whole park is decked out in Halloween decorations and it is very cute. I wish it felt a little more like fall around here - it must have been near 80 degrees yesterday. I think Disneyland is trying to give Knott's Berry Farm a run for its money. On Monday I'd like to head over to California Adventure and try some of the rides over there. He hasn't been there since April when his Grandparents Terry and Aunt McKenna were here - and I doubt he remembers it! I am going to take my real camera with me so I can get some good pictures. I only had my camera phone and the picture quality isn't the best. I am also feeling guilty because I went to download all of the September pictures from the camera and there weren't any! I didn't take a single picture this month - except for the one yesterday after Disneyland. Oops! Good thing we did get his 9 month pictures taken at Target this month, so we do have some documentation of his life this month. I promise to be a better picture taker in October!
