Vaporizers, Vicks, and Sewing Machines

That's what our weekend was all about. We had big plans to get our Christmas tree on Saturday, but alas, it didn't happen. I was right. The reason that The Boy cried about everything and anything on Friday was because he was sick. Saturday morning was especially bad. I'm thinking he had the beginnings of the croup because his cough was really barky and he was wheezy. I spent Saturday morning at an extra ward choir performance and then a baby shower, so Will just tried to keep him comfortable. When I called from the baby shower to see how he was doing, Will said The Boy had no interest in eating and was just laying on the floor watching TV all morning. So I headed home and got him down for a nap - he was out in 5 minutes - and resolved that if he didn't perk up a little after his nap, we were off to After Hours Care.

He was much more lively after his nap, but his cough didn't sound any better. We decided we better not venture out for a tree, but I did take him on a quick trip to Joann's for some bias tape for the sewing project I worked on during his nap. Will ran some errands and we met back at home for pizza. The Boy's appetite was back and he ate 2 pieces and was much more lively and sweet. He went to bed quickly and slept really soundly. The Vicks vapor rub and humidifier did the trick. Oh! And we tried the thing of putting Vicks on the bottom of the feet and it seemed to work for us.

This morning he woke up about 80% better. He still has a cough, but not the barky/deep freaky cough he had yesterday. We kept him home from church so he could get all the way better and not share his germies with everyone in his Moonbeams class. Oh! Can you believe he'll be a Sunbeam in a few weeks? That is crazy! He didn't nap today because his nose wouldn't quit dripping into his throat giving him the itchy throat cough. He laid in there quite nicely for about 2 hours and then he had to get up to use the bathroom.

I sewed my heart out this weekend making the Christmas presents for my little nieces. I'm so excited for them to get them! Look what all the sitting at the sewing machine did to my poor feet! They were worse yesterday, but still not better today. I'm hoping they clear up tomorrow after I get some exercise. Here are my pages for the last 2 days. Day 13 is all about how all that exists of my Christmas tree are the boxes of ornaments and lights waiting to be put on the tree.

Poor guy. We have been dealing with what sounds like the same kind of cough. Two of the boys stayed home from church too. Something rotton is going on from coast to coast it seems. We just got over the flu. Hopefully everyone will be better by Christmas! And I remember those pictures of your skinny pretty feet not so long ago. Taht looks miserable. Not too much more of that!!!!!!! HOORAY!

Okay, I want to know how many digi kits you have for this project. I'm thinking I should start making layouts NOW for next year, just minus the picture. They are all so cute!
