So Sad

I was all ready to post a scathing post about this next topic, but I've had a change of heart because it really is sad. When I was in high school, I wanted so badly to be in the good choir, but I never was. I actually was only in choir for one year and when I didn't get bumped up for my sophomore year I quit. I probably should have stuck with it, but I didn't like the choir teacher and she played favorites - cute rich girls. Well, since we were poor and I was overweight, I just wasn't her cup of tea. At first I started to think - maybe I can't sing, maybe I stink. However, she had student teacher that I really respected and he thought I could sing, so I trusted him. It always bothers me when people that don't sing very well - Ms. Ragan - tell other people they don't sing well. Anywho - I found out from my brother yesterday and Ms. Ragan was busted for embezzling money from the Metrofest program she started at BHS! At first I was like - Karma baby! But then I realized it was really sad. Her retirement was supposed to go into effect on June 30th and she was fired about a week before that. So, she might not get her retirement. She's divorced and I think that made her a little bitter and now she might now have her retirement to live on. That makes me sad for her. It was only like $1500, so not worth it at all. I hope the school district works with her so that she has some kind of something to live on for the rest of her life. That's my post for today. Sad, huh?

It's so hard to hear about that stuff. That happend to one of my swim choches. The sad part is I'm sure they really don't understand how many lives they have touched.

Oy. That IS unfortunate and sad. I know it's easy to initially think "hah, serves you right!" but you really are the better person for stepping back and realizing it's just sad that she ended up that way. Good for you.
