We're still sick here at our house. I feel so bad for The Boy. He is totally miserable. He woke up miserable and so I gave him some Motrin because he was running a little fever and he looked like a MACK truck had hit him. After about 30 minutes he perked up and was doing pretty well. He went down for his morning nap with no problems. I popped in the plug, he layed on my shoulder and passed out. I lost track of time, but I think he slept for over 2 hours. He had a pretty good afternoon, but I could tell when the medicine was wearing off and he started to get fussy again. So, I gave him some more Motrin and we played downstairs with grandma for about 20 minutes. He went down for his afternoon nap presto, chango. However, he woke up crying about 20 minutes later. So I loved him back to sleep and layed him down again. He slept for maybe an hour. He followed me around all evening. I tried to scrub the bathroom sink and he had a fit because he wanted to be held. So, I gave up my cleaning endeavors for the day. However, I did scrub the tub, the sink, and the toilet. I got all the Christmas stuff packed and put back into the storage cabinets and I vacuumed the living/dining rooms. Sweet. He wasn't much interested in eating dinner. He nibbled on some cheese and had a few bites of peaches, but that was it. He was upset when I pulled him out of his high chair because I had left him in their while I vacuumed. So, I grabbed his plug and snuggled him. He totally passed out! It was only 7:15 and I was thinking to was too good to be true. Yep. I layed him down, but he woke up at 8:00. So I changed him into his jammies and snuggled him and he fell asleep again. I am hoping he's down for the night now, but who knows. Poor baby.
I have a good/cute/smartie pants story to tell about him today. We were watching The Little Einsteins while I was packing up the Christmas tubs and they were at a part when it wants audience participation. Quincy was at 3 doors into the Sphinx and was trying to figure out which door to go in. The whole goal is to match the exact bars of a song they've been playing throughout the episode to one of the doors. So they get to the 2nd door and it isn't the same bars of music and before Quincy can answer his own questions (they pause for the kids to answer), The Boy shakes his whole body and says "no". It was so cute and smartie pants! When he says yes, he nods just his head, but I found out today that when he says no, his whole body giggles. It is adorable and if I can get it on tape, I will.
I've added somethings to the sidebar, so check them out. I'm particularly proud of my slideshow of digiscrap layouts. Have a nice evening and until tomorrow . . .
