The Night Before Thanksgiving

It's the night before Thanksgiving at our house and things are buzzing. I made the slush yesterday night, so it should be nice and frozen by tomorrow's meal. Today I'm halfway through the Raspberry Pretzel Salad and I still need to make my pumpkin pies tonight. Tomorrow I am going to make the rolls, so I'm only about 1/2 way to being finished with my cooking for the family dinner. I wanted to try out my friend's sweet potato whip recipe, but I ran out of time, so maybe I can do it on Friday or Saturday.

This morning I went to the grocery store before Jay left for work. When I got home I found out that my little pumpkin bumped his other eye! Right before my aunt got here, "the boys" were hanging out while I was gone and The Boy climbed up on the recliner to get his daddy, but slipped and bumped his right now. It got swollen and a little black and blue. Then, this morning they were hanging out again and this time he was climbing on his daddy and he slipped and bumped his left eye on the Butt Paste. Ouch! This one is just red, not black and blue, so hopefully it will fade quickly.

After mi esposo left for work we went to aerobics and then came home for a nap. I'm trying to get him to nap in his crib. For the longest time, since he moved out of his bassinet, he's taken his naps on our bed. However, he is just too busy now and I don't want him to get hurt because I don't get there quick enough to pick him up. So he hasn't been napping as long, because he rolls over and wakes himself up. Today he woke up after 45 minutes and so I just got him and rocked him for about 10 minutes and he fell asleep again, so I layed him down. Usually when that happens, he wakes up about 20 minutes later. Not today. He slept for almost 2 hours longer! I was so surprised. After the nap we went to Costco and got some more groceries.

I'm including some pictures of The Boy and his little cousin that is 10 days older. Aren't they cute? Her 1st birthday is on Friday and we are so excited. His newest tricks are saying "hoppityjig" when we do the "A little girl's horse goes . . ." rhyme. He also is starting to answer when you ask what a dog and cow say. He's just growing up too fast!

P.S. I can only get one of the pictures to upload. Freaky Blogger!
