That's what the ultrasound tech told us when it came to telling us what the baby's gender is. The tech had a hard time with our little munchkin because this one was all over the place just like The Boy was. The legs were open, they were closed, then baby would flip, and flip back. This baby also didn't like face shots and refused to give a profile.
So, when it came time to tell us what it was, the tech said, "I can't say 90% (they never say 100% so no one will sue them), so I'm about 66% sure it's a girl." I was like - well, ok. My sister said it best, "Did she use some kind of formula or just pull it out of *you know where*?" I'm pretty sure there was no formula involved.
It was kind of a funny experience with this one. I really enjoyed seeing the baby on the screen and I saw the fingers and foot so clearly. That was cute! But it wasn't like with The Boy where the tech said - It's a boy! for sure and we saw the parts and everything. Plus, since they just opened this office, they weren't printing any pictures. They have to send them over to radiology to get them printed and they'll call me when they're printed. So, we didn't walk out with a picture either. Oh well! For right now we're having a girl! LOL
We are seriously considering going to a this place that about four of our friends and family have gone to get a second opinion. Since the u/s at the doctor's office is used for diagnostic purposes and they have to take all the measurements and everything, they don't spend too much time on the gender thing. Did you know the recommended exposure time for an u/s at any one appointment is only 20 minutes? This independent place is cheap (compared others out there) and they aren't allowed to do any diagnostic stuff, so they spend most of the 20 minutes trying to get gender pictures for you. All of the people we know that have been there have had great experiences. So we'll keep you posted if we get more that 66% sure with the 2nd opinion or if we'll have to change it all together and say - It's a boy!

Oh my gosh I'm dying! You HAVE to go right now because I bet that lady didn't factor into her little equation that the Awesome Family boys don't produce female offspring...Hurry! Go!

When I told Pablo about the 66%, he said, "How is that any different than 50%?" Hope you can find out for sure next time.
