Pure Awesomeness!

Today we experienced pure awesomeness.
The Boy kept saying - This is so awesome!
And it was.
So cool!

I'd never heard of the Skirball Museum
until I read about it on a college friend's blog.
She's an LA native and she knows about all the cool stuff up there.
They have this awesome Noah's Ark exhibit right now
and it is spectacular.
S.P.E.C.T.A.C.U.L.A.R.

There are life size animals made of recycled materials.
They move.
They make sounds.
Wow!
You start in the "storm room".
You make storm sounds.
Create electricity.
Load the animals onto the ark.

Then you're in the ark.
They have arks from different place in the world.
And a little people sized ark.

And LOTS of animal puppets.
But I forgot to get a picture :(

And then you can climb around in the ark.
Make the animals move.

Peek down on your mom :)

Finally, you're in the Rainbow Room.
The happy room.
The art room.

We watched a cool impromptu concert in the rainbow room.
I wish I would've video taped it.
It was fun!

Then we went back to the storm room.
Because we were so anxious when we got there,
we rushed right through to see all the cool stuff.

I loved the giraffes.

You could make the move!
(Did I mention that?)

One last attempt at a group shot with the camel.

It was super awesome!
You must go.
Thursday are free.
But I suggest getting online reservations.
Go!

So cool that you got to go. My kids thought it was awesome too. It might be a regular stop when I visit CALI.
