November, Where did you come from?

Seriously, where did November come from? Next month my kiddos will both be a year older and I'm not liking that very much. The Boy told me today that when he was a little baby he had little Kung Fu pants that he did little fighting in :) He told Will he was a baby for a long time. Will told him that mommy didn't think he was a baby for very long. He said, "Stop it, dad. I was a baby a long time." Not so much, but we're having fun along the journey of growing up.

Although I promised myself that I would take it easy this week, it started off a little crazy. Monday I drove to Burbank with my sister in law to the Clear Channel office building to pick up my Motherhood prize package that I won about a week and a half ago on the way to The Girl's appointment. The Boy got to stay with Grandma and Grandpa and the girls took a road trip to Burbank. It was a pretty uneventful trip, but it took up about 3 hours of the day.

Tuesday I was invited to go to out to Oak Glen with friends and my mother in law and I REALLY wanted to go, but I was hosting book club that night and I was no where near ready for it, so I stayed home and cleaned the house.

Book club was awesome! We read the book The Hunger Games and so I threw a Capitol feast in honor of our discussion. I served clam chowder, corn chowder, salad, various breads, rolls, havarti cheese, hot chocolate and orange juice. My friend brought her Cocoa Latte machine so we could steam the milk and add the individual packets of Stephen's Candy Cane Hot Cocoa to our own cups. I've fallen back in love with the Cocoa Latte machine and I wouldn't mind one for Christmas :)My cousin made these awesome cupcakes too. I asked her to do something with fire (a theme in the book) and she made these little beauties. If you're local, she's available for hire!

Wednesday we went to Wtown to take my mother in law her crock pot that I borrowed for book club. I made WAY too much soup, so I took them some clam chowder too. She had gone to Oak Glen the day before and picked me up some pumpkins and some apple cider doughnuts, so we made an exchange and The Boy got to play at Grandma's house again. We decided that we already have a date to go to Oak Glen the day after Halloween next year because she said it was a lot of fun and thought The Boy would really enjoy it.

That night I went to mutual and we went to Foster Freeze with the Laurels in honor of a birthday. It was fun to eat and chat with the girls.

Thursday The Boy went to school and we tried walking over to the park when he got home. It was a nice walk over, but he had to twosies about 5 minutes after we got there, so we SPRINTED home. Well, he sprinted and I tried carrying The Girl and having Baby T toddle behind us. He kept having to circle back and yell, please hurry!

Friday we did park day and just hung out at home. It was nice to have a slower end of the week after a crazy weekend and beginning of the week. I did two 4.5 training runs on Tuesday and Thursday. I haven't been able to get myself out of bed in the morning, so I just popped the kids in my jogger and did it after Baby T went home. Yesterday I repeated my 7 mile long run, since last week was a mistake and I wasn't mentally prepared for it. I kicked it's trash this week. LOL Next week I have to bump it up to 8 and I am so ready!
