We're Alive . . . Barely

Here's what we've been up to in pictures and short sentences.

We took a trip to the Santa Ana Zoo with friends.
We worked on getting The Boy's room all organized. No more old wipee boxes full of toys. Now onto The Girl's room!

The Boy reverted and pretended he was a baby while watching TV in our bedroom. We made lots of delicious Heath Bar Chocolate Chip Cookies. (recipe to follow)
The Boy had the never ending cough that made him sleepless for 3 days straight and made him throw up half a dozen times. I finally took him to the doctor and found out he has allergy induced asthma. So now he's on 3 medications - including an inhaler. Life is much better.
The Girl totally freaked us out on Saturday night when we started wheezing. By Sunday morning we was struggling to get a breath and you could see her lungs working to breathe. A trip to Urgent Care revealed she has a bronchial infection mainly seen in Winter months and so now we are the proud owners of a nebulizer.
Never a dull moment around these parts. However, we're all on the mend now and hopefully we can side step the swine flu. What the???? I hope to revamp the blog background this week and be more faithful about blogging.

As promised - The Cookie Recipe. We are in love with these cookies. The recipe comes courtesy of Cousin C and they are super tasty. Be aware, they are very addictive.

1.5 sticks of butter (melted)
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg + 1 egg yolk
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla
2 1/4 c flour
1 c. Heath Baking Bits
1 c. chocolate chips (Ghiradelli are the best)

Mix all ingredients (except the chips) until smooth. Fold in chips. Bake 325 for 17-19 minutes.

Mmmm. Those cookies look so good. Sorry about the sick kids, asthma, etc. Josh and Annie have those issues as well, and it is no fun.
