The Great Balloon

Today I took The Boy to The Great Park that is being built in Irvine. It's really not that great right now because it's still in process of coming together, but they do have this fun balloon ride in a giant orange balloon. A few of my friends from my ward of gone on it and posted about it on their blogs, so I decided to take The Boy while Will was working today.
As we got closer to the park, you could see the balloon up in the air. This got The Boy really excited. At first he wasn't really thrilled about going, because we were supposed to be going to the farm at the OC Fairgrounds. I was still going to take him there, but I wanted to do the balloon ride first. When he saw the balloon, he was so excited! However, he wanted me to reassure him that we weren't going to float away. I told him it just went up and down and that totally appeased him.
We went into the building to get our boarding passes and register. The Boy was jumping up and down and talking a million miles a minute. The nice attendant gave him a map and that thought that was awesome and he started talking even faster. There wasn't a wait at all and within 5 minutes we were on the balloon. When the ticket attendant asked for our tickets, The Boy was holding them and I was on the phone with Will. The Boy kind of hesitated because he didn't want to give them up, but I told him say, "Of course you can" and he did and it was "just perfect" - as The Boy would say.My camera died - of course (something is still wrong with the battery) - so some of the pictures are with my camera phone. I thought I would be freaked out when we got up there, but my tummy did just fine and we had a nice ride up and down.

Wow, is that free? I'm always amazed by what you can do when you're pregnant. You're so lucky!
