If that poor little boy has another poopy diaper I think he is going to self-destruct. It has slowed down a little bit today, so I'm hoping we are reaching the end. I called the pediatrician's office bright and early this morning and ended up on hold for about 10 minutes. Then, the nice medical assistant took a message and told me a nurse would call me back. When I hadn't heard back from them after 3 hours, I decided to call again. This time I asked to speak to a pediatric nurse, however, I don't think that is who I spoke to. The woman was very impatient and didn't seem to want to bother with me. She told me I needed to stop nursing him and he should only have Pedialyte. That isn't what Dr. Greene.com says or my What to Expect the First Year. Everything else she said I already knew so I thought I'd watch it for a few more days and if it didn't go away, then I would make an appointment to have him seen. Well, what would happen about 20 minutes later? A real nurse called me back! She was a little worried about what I had told her, so she said she would talk to my pediatrician and see what she wanted me to do and call me back. She called back and the pediatrician said he didn't need to be seen. It is a viral thing because he doesn't have a temperature or any other symptoms. She said to keep him on the BRAT diet, keep nursing him and giving him pedialyte and it should pass in 4-5 more days. If not, then I should bring him in or if he gets any other symptoms. His well-baby is on the 7th, so if it doesn't go away, I'll just take it up at that appointment.
He had a rough afternoon/evening today and he only wanted mommy. He was actually playing pretty well until I needed to make the pizza dough for dinner, then he had to be held. So he screamed at the top of his lungs until I picked him up and tried to mix pizza dough with one hand. Then, I had to put him down to knead the dough and he started screaming again - like he had been abandoned. I hurriedly kneaded the dough and picked him up. We had just plopped down on the couch when Grandpa knocked on the door. He wanted to know if we needed help, because they could hear him downstairs! The ladies in my MIL's sewing class probably thought I was abusing him!
I did get a few things done today. All the Thanksgiving baking mess is almost all cleaned up. I have a few lingering pans that won't fit in the sink:) I put everything back under the kitchen sink since Tom fixed the faucet. I folded all the laundry and put it away. I cleaned the ducky bath and started working on my Chrismas cards. Yea! Tomorrow I would like to get some more done on the Christmas cards. I have a general idea of what I want them to look like, but I can't nail it down exactly. I'm hoping to be struck with inspiration tonight. Wish me luck!

I can't believe that dingbat at the doctor's office told you to stop nursing him. Good for you for sticking to your guns. I hope he feels better soon! We went through that whole mess two months ago - I felt so bad for my little girl! Good luck with your Christmas cards. Are you making them? Check out the peanut gallery at twopeasinabucket.com for ideas if you get stuck!
